"I feel great, man. All my camp, Mike Dolce, everybody got me in great shape. I feel much, much better than last time. We're still four weeks out, and I'm ready to fight tonight. I can't wait, and I'm very excited. I'm training like this, the fight is going to be easy. ... I'm going to knock him out. Either I'm going to knock him out or I'm going to submit him, but this fight is not going to decision. All due respect to Martin Kampmann and his camp, but it's my time baby."

terra2805 I like both guys here but i think Alves will be much bigger and stronger than Kampmann. Kampmann is a tall and lean WW where as Alves is shorter and much more compact and i think his strikes are a lot harder than Kampmanns, and his leg kicks are powerful too. Kampmann is more of a technical fighter, it's a classic "power vs technique" kind of fight and i have to say i think Alves will come out the winner. If Kampmann does win i think it will most likely be by submission but i doubt he will, i see Alves by TKO..... Reply 3 months ago

Alves comes on strong first round, but Martin dodges his every move . Rd 1 to Thiago, for Octogon Control.

Rd 2 & 3 , Thiago is gassed, Alves takes shots to the face, like a drunk guy trying to bar fight, does not get stopped, but loses decision by 2 rounds. Reply 3 months ago

jamo i think kampmann is going to kick his ass. kampmann was knocking people out in the middleweights. to me, silva is a blown up lightweight with too much body mass. the top welterweights are too big for him. i think a match with bj penn would be cool. Reply 3 months ago
