After not signing back with Strikeforce Jake Shields is believed to be leaning towards signing with the UFC according to the statement put out by Jack Shields. (father and manager of MMA fighter Jake Shields)

Jack Shields, said that his son wants to fight Anderson Silva for his debut middleweight fight if he were to indeed go to the UFC since current welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will fight Josh Koscheck later this year.

CageRage64 Did I miss something where he states that he wants both belts or was it in a previous article? Either way if he really made that statement it is an awfully ambitious one.... I'm not sure he could beat Silva or GSP, or Kos or Alves or Fitch for that matter. It reminds me of Brandon Vera's predictions to hold both HW and LHW belts, and look what that got him.
