Jake Ellenberger says Diego Sanchez's "stupid guy pace" is going to get him hurt

Rapidly rising Welterweight contender, Jake Ellenberger, who will square off with Diego Sanchez at UFC on Fuel TV 1, discusses his opponent, as well as his expectations for the bout. Ellenberger says he is confident in his ability to overcome Sanchez anywhere the fight goes, and insists that if "The Dream" rushes in on him with "that stupid guy pace," he's going to hurt him.

"I think where a lot of his opponents have failed is, they kind of give him too much respect. If you let him dictate the pace of the fight and the range, you're going to be in for a long night. If he wants to go that break-neck, stupid guy pace, I can do that too. But, I plan on hurting him on my feet - I know I can hurt him. If he wants to come at me, kind of bully-rush like he usually does, he's going to get hurt. I'm really prepared anywhere the fight goes."

EvilGrimace666 No one can deny the personal dent Diego put in MMA. He overcame a lot of obstacles, but lately Diego has become inconsistent in my opinion. Diego has had a good amount of decisions these last few fights which doesn't do a fighter any good for the ranks. For me, I'm half and half. Ellenberger is great fighter, brute force and quick. gm1 Jake is an excellent wrestler. Now he has great stand up power. He needs to hamburger Sanchez for the frist 2rounds. In between he needs to stuff Sanchez takedown attempts and do a few of his own.

Remember: BJ beat the crap out of Sanchez and stuff everyone of his takedowns.
