NinjaDana is actually a 100% right on this topic...when's the last time you saw someone get stretchered off in MMA? in football it happens every other week and not to mention the average career of a football player is about 4-6 yrs because after that they can't play to there full potential because of bad knees, back, shoulders etc Reply1 year ago

japanegro23This is so true but did anyone watch the Colts game last week. Austin Collie got popped by two Eagles and he fell to the ground and stiffened up like MMA fighters that get knocked out real bad. The first thing I thought about was MMA. I've seen that a bunch in MMA. They carried Collie out on a stretcher and I was wondering why. They never do that in MMA. Maybe it was just a safety precaution. Reply1 year ago
Hell, boxing is more dangerous the MMA; when the only option you have is to pound on a guy in the head; and he's taking it; and the ref allows it; and the doctor doesn't stop it; the judges don't say anything; the commissions sanction it. It's dangerous, man. Your only out, as a fighter, is beating the other guy into oblivion.
Of course the other thing about the NFL is that they market the violence; come see the hits. And lets face facts, the sports-casts play the highlights and hype it.
The naysayers should just get off of MMA's back. It's professional, organized and they go everything to protect athletes who are conditioned for the very sport they are in.
People who criticize MMA do so out of ignorance. Reply1 year ago

EnsonInouethey promote blood splatters in the ufc highlights and clips. MMA is extremely violent theres no way around it, is it less dangerous then football...possibly Reply1 year ago
Not saying that the UFC doesn't promote it, but that's there business; fights. The business of the NFL is football; same goes for the NHL, because they promote the violence of their sport, too.
The reality is, that men will get hurt when having fun and expressing themselves physically; all while in pursuit of career, goals, dreams, hopes and glories. They are men. That is what men do. Reply1 year ago

khmerkickboxingALL SPORT ARE DANGEROUS IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT SPORT YOUR IN........saying one is more dangerous than another is just a matter of personal opinion, no one is right or no one is wrong, you got to consider, that NFL guys play more games than MMA fighter fights per year.....so, both is dangerous...dont be an idiot, as Dana is only looking for his own benefit ..that all Reply1 year ago
