Michael Page Draws Comparison to Anderson Silva in UCMMA Debut

Two fighters made their professional MMA debuts at the recent UCMMA event, Michael Page and Ben Dishman.
The fight did not last long, but Page displayed an overwhelming amount of confidence on his way to victory. The announcers for the fight compared Page’s performance to Apollo Creed from the Rocky films as well as referring to him as a “UK Anderson Silva.”
Following the fight Page claimed, “There’s a lot more to come from me.”
Page has set the bar high for himself after this spectacular debut, it will be interesting to see how he capitalizes on this victory and how he will fare when he faces higher levels of competition.
He should also learn more wrestling. If he does not learn from the brazilian indigenes,its ok. Im sure some African Zulu would be happy to teach him how to wrestle Reply 3 months ago
Hard to believe anderson lost his first and he's still the biggest threat to himself, but looks like he's got his ego under control now.

I think he did AMAZING performance and if he do it right so will be calling more attention to himself..
Anderson Silva don't dance at front of every opponent and in my point of view i believe MP new about his opponent and showed that much confidence because he know more then anything about his own potential.
I think his future in MMA is going to be bright and he should just make sure to manage himself in a good camp.
And NO i don't think he's at same level of AS right now, need to make it clear or some people just doesn't understand. Reply 3 months ago
basically was a pro against an amateur!
there are so many fighters like this guy who look awesome in the smaller organisations but once they get to either Bellator, SF or UFC they struggle because its the best fighters in the world! (which is why i get annoyed when a fighter in one of these gets called a "can" or "shit") Bisping and Daley were destroying guys easily before getting to the UFC!

By the way, in addition to fighters like Silva, Jones, and Page, there is a fighter in WEC who is black with a unusual last name. can anyone recall this fighter? He has the build and style of Anderson Silva as well. Very long, good foot work, evasive, accurate with his boxing... Ring any bells? Reply 3 months ago
